A MAJOR MOVEMENT
The only thing worse than the pain of losing someone you love is knowing that they
didn’t have to die; that their death was preventable.
Today, a dangerous drug called Fentanyl is stealing the lives of our nation’s young
people. It’s hiding inside many street drugs and counterfeit prescription narcotics.
Only a tiny amount can be lethal.
We lost our youngest child and only son, Major, to a Fentanyl overdose on October 3,
2023.
He was a 17-year-old high school senior with his whole life ahead of him.
Major was a good kid. He was passionate about music and well liked in school. He had
lots of friends. He had parents, siblings, and family who loved him. He had a bright
future.
He tried ONE pill (a counterfeit Percocet) ONE time. And once was all it took.
He died the very first time he tried.
We don’t want to see anyone else lose someone they love to a Fentanyl-related
overdose. We don’t want to see one more teenager or young adult’s life snuffed out by
this silent killer.
We’ve made it our life’s mission to educate young adults about the dangers of Fentanyl
and teach them how to prevent Fentanyl-related deaths.
We want adolescents to understand and appreciate the risks associated with
experimenting with drugs. We want them to recognize that they have a choice.
We want kids to SAY NO to Fentanyl and instead seek healthy alternatives for coping
with the stresses and challenges of everyday life. Depression, anxiety, isolation, fear of
failure, a desire to fit in and belong — these struggles are REAL.
And to young people feeling this way, we want you to know: We see you. We hear you.
We validate you. We support you. And we’re here to remind you that drugs are NEVER
the answer.
Major’s life mattered. ALL lives matter.
Together, let’s embrace life and fight fentanyl — In a Major Way.
